Located approximately 22 kilometers from Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur, UPM is one of the country’s five designated research universities deeply committed to the discovery and distribution of knowledge.

A multidisciplinary university with 87 years of history, starting from School of Agriculture (1931) to College of Agriculture (1947) and University (1971). UPM is strategically located within Malaysia’s ambitious Multimedia Super Corridor, a Malaysian-government-designated zone designed to propel the country into the information technology age. UPM has attracted students and staff from all around the world, making it a globally-respected learning and research entity.

One of the largest universities in Malaysia, UPM is also a key player in contributing to the growth of learned and skilled human capital in the nation.
